Friday night at our picnic is always a good time. The midway games are open, and we have a fish fry as well as live music, gambling, and beer. Mom and I are the chairs of the capital prize booth, so we pretty much sell raffle tickets from five 'til midnight on Friday night. Tony sells beer- it's his favorite job, as he feels obliged to sample and make sure the customers get only the best!
On Saturday, we slept all slept in a little. Aidan woke up feeling as good as new, thank goodness. We were at church by one, setting up for a long day. Andrew and Aidan both were huge helpers for us, hauling things around and sorting stuff. I'll be lost when they get old enough to realize that work is not always fun! The picture above is of Andrew guarding the drums of raffle tickets while the guys were loading the golf cart. Below is Aidan helping spin the wheel for some friends of ours at the candy booth.
Saturday was a great day. We had an awesome fried chicken and dumpling dinner. The weather got a little hot, but it was better than last year's rain and we did a booming business. Tony fried chicken for most of the day, and I sold raffle tickets until we shut down at 11pm. My mom won a year's worth of Tae Kwon Do lessons in the silent auction for Andrew, which was a great end for our day!
