A busy weekend

This weekend was packed with things to do! Friday evening, the Clarksville parks department sponsored a fall hayride and bonfire. We made s'mores and sang campfires and saw lots of our friends. It was dark and chilly - perfect weather!

Saturday afternoon, we celebrated both boys' birthdays at the YMCA with a pool party. They invited their cousins and friends from school. We had an awesome time, and the kids were so well-behaved.

Instead of gifts, we had every kiddo bring a wrapped book and we played "hot potato". When someone got out, they got to pick a book. I was so shocked that 16 cupcake-sugared kids settled down to read immediately when they opened their prize. I loved how Aidan, Emma, and Hannah were coloring together!

Saturday night, the boys went with Tony's mom while we participated in our church's progressive dinner. We had such a great time. Unfortunately, we couldn't host anything at our house because of the construction, but that just meant we got to go a few new places this year.

Amazingly enough, we had absolutely nothing on our Sunday calendar. We were asked to speak about stewardship at and earlier Mass than we usually attend, so we were home before we normally are even dressed. We spent the day cleaning, napping, and watching the Colts. Tony made a pot of chili and homemade cornbread and the boys played (well, argued and played). Yum!
