Andrew's 6th birthday

Andrew turned six on Sunday, but he celebrated all weekend long. On Friday night, Mom and Dad took him out to eat and birthday shopping for some "grandparent" time. He looked forward to it all week and had a great time (other than catching the stomach flu from me and being sick all Friday night). On Saturday, he was still feeling puny, so we just made a big pot of soup after Aidan's soccer game and did cake and presents at the house. He looks pretty happy for a sick kid!

Sunday morning - on his actual birthday - we made muffins and he got to blow out candles again. We also went to the Latin Mass at St. Martin's with Fr. Paul and had lunch out with our friend Joe.

Andrew had a great weekend, but was most excited about school today. He gets a special birthday crown and desk to sit in. He also gets to shop at the book fair today and order hot lunch. That makes for a great birthday!
