The Princess and Some Picnics
Since my last class was Thursday, the kids and I had big plans for Friday and the rest of the weekend. We were going to the zoo. Then, it rained. Figures. So the change of plans was a movie and indoor picnic instead.
The rain did stop on Friday, so Tony and I went with a couple of friends to see "As You Like It" as part of the Shakespeare in the Park series that is done in Louisville every summer. Wine, cheese, friends and Shakespeare outdoors - makes for a nice evening.

The girls made tiaras. had their nails painted, ate princess parfaits, and learned a dance. The video is at the end of this post, if you're interested in some Sophie cuteness.
When we finished at Princess Camp, we headed to Mount Washington for a church picnic at Fr. Paul's new church. The food was yummy and we had a good time.
After the picnic, our intent was to take the kids to see Cars 2. Unfortunately, both the drive-in and the theater only had really late start times left. So I ran to Kroger and got ice cream and cones and we had an impromptu treat. Nothing like ice cream on the front porch on a summer evening.
Unless it's ice cream in the house naked because Daddy already started getting you ready for bed...
