Balloon Launch
My mom's neighbor owns/pilots the John Jones GMC hot air balloon. He's brought it to school for me in years past when my kiddos were studying gasses. This year, though, we were looking for a cool new incentive to get the whole school to sell raffle tickets. He said he would come and take up our top TWENTY sellers in the school on a tether as their reward. He also took the principal and several teachers and offered to take me. I declined this time. I told my kids it was because I'd done it before (which I have), but I really didn't want the entire school to watch me haul my pregnant self into the basket. Anyway, it happened to be a preschool day for Andrew, so I had to share this beautiful picture. It was a perfect chilly fall morning, and the sun was shining in just the right annoying way:
Just for the record, my children were NOT top raffle ticket sellers. We are never the top fundraisers of anything!
