Mother's Day Weekend

Yesterday, one of the larger subdivisions in Clarksville had their annual yard sale. A friend of mine caught us at her house and gave me one of these headbands she made for Sophie. It was so adorable, I attempted a do-it-yourself photography session. I should have tried when she wasn't hungry!

After the boys' ball game Saturday, I was trying to actually cook dinner. I usually only manage this on the weekends because by the time Tony makes it home from work during the week, we have to leave for ball, tae kwon do, etc. So, anyway, I had my hands full and Sophie was starving. Andrew is such a great helper. He was watching tv and volunteered to feed her for me. He looks so much like his daddy here - not just his physical looks, but also the multi-tasking of watching Disney channel while feeding the baby.

This morning, the boys and Tony brought me coffee and presents in bed. Aidan had made a handprint in a picture frame at school. His is significantly smaller than Andrew's was last year.
Andrew's class made cookbooks. His teacher asked each child for their favorite recipe their mommy cooked and how to make it. Andrew picked chocolate cake and almost got it right. The book was adorable!
After church, we went to brunch at the Bristol with mom and dad, and Tony's mom, his sister and her boyfriend and his son. This was the only picture I took of anyone dressed up - it was a little hectic when we arrived and we were in a hurry to get grumpy boys home for naps after we ate. But the food was great!
Here I am with the kiddos, smiling because it's after naptime!
I got the first rose bush for Mother's Day that's going in our little rose bed. Tony and the boys planted it for me, too!
Andrew also added dirt to my "hens and chickens" planter. Mom bought it two years ago, and Pappy had started it for me. I thought it had bit the dust, but lo and behold there's something growing this year!Happy Mother's Day!
