It seems as though we spent most of the first weekend of summer vacation at the ballpark. Both Andrew and Aidan had games Friday night, and then their teams played each other on Saturday. Thanks to Mom and Dad loaning me their camera indefinitely, we had so many wonderful pictures of the weekend that it was hard to choose which ones to share. Everyone should bookmark and save the first picture below, for when Andrew is playing major league ball. He'll probably be moved up next year - he absolutely does not play like a five year old. He's amazing!

Aidan is much more tolerant of baseball than he was of basketball - there's been no laying on the ground at least. He's also made a lot of progress this season and is so proud that he can hit without the tee during games now.

The boys had a big cheering section on Saturday - Grandma and Papa, Nene, Memaw, Uncle Tom and Aunt Lisa and Erin and Hunter.

Of course, their biggest fan is Sophie. She really loves to watch the movement out on the field. I may enter this picture in the state fair competition.

Saturday morning before the ball games, Dad brought the tiller down and did our garden and my new flower bed. Looks like Dad and Andrew are doing all the work while Tony and Aidan supervise.
A new garden needs lots of water, and what started out as Tony watering the garden with Andrew's help quickly became an all out water fight.
This morning after church, I sent Aidan out to shoo a bird out of the garden. He took it upon himself to be a scarecrow. He informed me he was going to stay there, so I had to shoo him out before he stepped on something important.

After naps, Tony suggested we pack a picnic supper and head over to Cherokee Park. The weather was gorgeous, and the boys had a good time. We attempted using the kites, but it wasn't quite windy enough. I hope the rest of the summer is this good!
