Back to School!

Today was back to school! It this time of year that I know for a fact that I am in the right profession. I was as excited as the boys last night, and had a lot of trouble sleeping. We took our annual picture in front of the organ. Aidan has grown a lot this summer, but when I look at this picture, apparently Andrew has had another growth spurt as well. He just towers over his brother - so hard to believe they're only 13 months apart in age.

So excited!

Time for kindergarten!

Andrew at his desk

With his teacher, also my teaching partner

Here's Aidan at his seat. Can you see the terror on his face?
Probably only if you know him well....

The badge says "I survived the first day of kindergarten"
The facial says "Maybe not"

This was supposed to be first day check-in with grandma and papa, but Sophie wanted in on the phone action.
So, the final report is this:
ANDREW had a great day. When talking to grandma and papa, he said he liked science the most. Wonder if that's because his teacher was in the room, or if she's just that amazing. (If you don't know, I'm the science teacher)

AIDAN's opinion of kindergarten is still up for grabs. He liked lunch and says his teacher is really nice. But, he still claims he's going back to his preschool teacher. I think he'll be fine, but he's having a difficult adjustment. He's a little upset that he's not in the same class as all his friends, but I think it's better that way.

MRS. SINGLETON had a wonderful day! I have a super class. It's strange, having all of Andrew's friends as students. But it's a good strange. We had a good first day because most of them already knew me and were comfortable with me. I'm looking forward to a fantastic year - the best first day I think I've had.
