More Annie... (Thanks, Dad!)

Here are a few more "Annie" pictures, starring Sandy the dog, courtesy of Dad's camera. Since I was backstage both nights, I never got to take any pictures like this. Sorry if they're boring, but I'm so stinking proud of these kiddos and our 'theater department' that I can't help but brag. They're especially special to me because the 8th graders were my very first group of first graders! Here's Andrew after sitting in a large, hot gift box on stage for two scenes:

Looking for Annie during NYC:
And, of course, during "Tomorrow"!

I had to share the following video because it makes me so happy. Tony and I are not in great fianancial situations, but when I spy a good deal on high quality GIRL stuff, it's hard for me to resist. A friend of mine who's a mom of twins had both kiddos in adorable shoes the other day - not only were the cute, they squeaked when the kids walked! I asked for the info from her and was disappointed to find that althought they were high quality and relatively affordable, they didn't really fall into my spending "necessities". So, I "liked" the site on Facebook and then moved on. However, I got a message the other day that she (meaning the shoe consultant) was clearancing out certain shoes. I hemmed and hawed for several days, and then decided I really wanted them. I ordered two pairs, and they arrived today. They are AWESOME! They are leather, cute as a button, and the squeaks are removeable.

So, I let Sophie wear them to dance class. We got dirty looks all the way down the hall. However, she was so incredibly happy about them that it really didn't matter. I'm the best mom in the world, at least for tonight. It didn't matter that she was wearing a blue leotard, pink jacket and red polka dots shoes. It also didn't matter that I ordered them a size too big. Best purchase in a long time. They carry both boy and girl styles but only toddler sizes. You can check her out under "Squeak with ME" on Facebook, or her blog.

Stay tuned this weekend...lots of pictures to come!
