Today is "Read Across America Day" in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. That means absolutely nothing to the majority of my readers, but for those of us in education it's a big celebration day. I took this picture a couple days ago, but it seemed appropriate today. I was doing dishes and discovered that it was eerily quiet in the house. When I tiptoed into the boys' bedroom, this is what I found:
Too cute, huh? We did lots of Dr. Seuss-type activities at school today. Since my IUS class also meets on Wednesdays, I had my students there make an edible cat in the hat. I brought the extra supplies home to use with the kiddos.
