Odds and Ends

We've been really busy lately (which is no surprise). Baseball ended this week, Cub Scout day camp started, play practice is ongoing and I have class three nights a week. However, on Saturday we managed to carve out time to go to downtown Jeffersonville and celebrate Schimpff's Candy's 120 birthday. They were handing out balloons, drinks, candy samples, and ice cream. The kids had a great time!
I always know summer has truly arrived and it's almost HGS time by my glads. They are just starting to bloom and I always miss the biggest bunch while I'm in Terre Haute. They're so pretty!

Tonight was the last baseball game for both boys. Aidan has had a great season playing coach-pitch, but I know he's looking forward to moving up next year.
Andrew has played in every championship game every season since he's been in the peewee division. (Tonight makes three) His team played hard, but in the end they lost 5 to 7. Andrew had some great plays and hits, and his team did very well. I was really proud of all of them, and especially proud that Andrew can be both a good winner and a gracious loser (or runner-up, in this case).
The next week or so looks to be very hectic for us - I'm headed to Girls' State but will be driving back for class. The boys move from Cub Scout camp this week to YMCA sports camp next week. At least we can chalk baseball off for another successful season!
