Opening Night

After weeks and weeks of practicing, the YMCA's Family Theatre production of "Cinderella" opened tonight.  This year, all five of us are in the show.  Many of the kids are double cast, so Sophie is only in next weekend's group.  The boys, however, are in both weekends.

All five of us are villagers.  Andrew is also the coachman, Aidan is the dog, and Sophie is a mouse.  Aidan is the ring bearer for Cinderella's wedding and Sophie will be the flower girl next weekend.  Tony is Cinderella's father, a palace guard, and in charge of running the curtain and fly rails backstage.  I am simply a "featured dancer".  Makes life confusing!

Here are the boys and I ready for the top of the show.  I just noticed that Andrew is wearing his shorts over his knickers.  I'm not really sure what that's about, but I hop he didn't go on stage that way!

I love this picture of me and my dance partners for the ball.  Beyond my amazing hot pink ball gown and the faux mustaches, the best part of this picture is the king.  Look at him "photo bombing" (as the kids call it) in the background of the picture!

It's so much fun to do a show with our whole family.  I like that (at least for now) we can all enjoy an activity and time spent together.
I'll be sharing more pics as the show goes on, especially once Sophie is in the production!!
