I'm a little behind on our blogging, so I thought I'd give a quick update on what we've been up to since Thanksgiving weekend. I'm sure there will be lots more to post in the next couple of weeks. Last weekend, we took the boys to "Sibling Class" at the hospital. It was really cute, but I hope I can break Aidan of holding the baby by her feet!

Last Thursday, I went to Indy to interview for the St. Theodora Guerin Award. Each school in the archdiocese nominated a teacher. We all had to fill out applications, and I was one of only eight finalists to get an interview. It's a huge honor. We won't find out who the winner is until February, but mom and I had a lot of fun shopping for pink at the outlet mall on the way home!
Our room addition is slowly, slowly, slowly finishing. Below, you can see my cabinets. The walls have the first coat of paint and the trim is up. If all goes well, tomorrow the floor will go in and then we can put the final coat of paint and move furniture. Perhaps I might get a Christmas tree up before Christmas after all. You can't tell in this picture, but Tony has installed the lighting as well (although he and Dad attempted to start a small fire while I ran out for pizza last night).

On a more positive note, we did get the boys' room redone. It looks great, and so grown up! I'll have to post some pictures when it's *clean*. Something else I didn't get a picture of was our tragedy this morning. Overnight, someone apparently went on a spree and my rear van window was shot out with a b.b. I have been so stressed lately that I'll I could do was stand in the rain and stare at the hole trying to make sense of it. Luckily, Tony swapped me vehicles, filed the police report at 7am and got my window fixed all in the same day.
Happy Monday - the week has to get better!
