Christmas Part 1 - preparations

Wednesday was a very busy day for us. Tony was off, so we had all kinds of last minute things to get done. We started the day with pancakes - and Sophie's first go at feeding herself an actual meal. She enjoyed herself, and actually did quite well.
The weather in Southern Indiana Christmas week was unbelieveable. While I was cleaning and cooking, the boys were in the backyard playing - without coats - for the second day in a row. It's hard to tell, but Aidan is actually sweeping the roof of the playhouse. We had a vicious wind last week, and the roof blew into the neighbor's yard. They very nicely sat it back over the fence, where Aidan decided he needed to be a chimney sweep. I actuakky heard them pretending to be Santa going down the chimney. It doesn't matter that it's December 23 - it's warm and Andrew's got the ball glove out.
I actually enjoy Christmas preparations better than Christmas. I like the decorations, shopping, cooking, wrapping, and music. Once Christmas celebrations start, we don't stop for a good 48 hours!
