Singleton Christmas 2011
On Christmas eve, we started our evening with dinner at my mom and dad's house. We were all pretty tired from being up all night, but we cleaned up pretty well. Sophie was excited that her Christmas dress matched Cabbage Baby's.
Since we weren't going to church until midnight, I let the boys get away with sweaters and dress pants for the early part of the evening.
Dinner was yummy - swiss steak with all kinds of veggies from the garden. Aunt Connie was also there to celebrate with us. Sophie loved watching Mom's train under the tree.

She loved her Belle doll and we had to take it out of the box right away for a tea party.
The boys had a very intense game of Star Wars operation.
After we left my mom and dad's, we headed to Tony's grandma's house for more celebrating. Here's Sophie and her cousin Cate.
And Sophie with Uncle Matt:
We stayed at Memaw's until around ten, and then headed home to bring the dog in and change into shirts and ties for midnight Mass. There's no group shot of the kids because Sophie was sound asleep on the couch with all her new babies.

She actually spent all of Mass like this, sleeping on my lap. We got home from church just in time to put out our cookies for Santa and jump into bed.

The kids were so excited Christmas morning! This is a doll made by one of Santa's "elves" (who happened to work with me).
The boys got scooters and various video games and books. My favorite gift for them is a weekend in Bloomington - complete with IU basketball tickets and a hotel room with a pool.
Santa left their "big" gifts under the tree in the living room. Aidan found his ginormous candy cane.
Andrew got a hit stick to practice baseball.
Sophie found her dollhouse.
One of Sophie's favorite gifts was a Minnie Mouse dress. She insisted on wearing it to Erin and Matt's house.
We celebrated Christmas one last time with Tony's mom, Matt and Erin on Christmas morning. Then we headed back to our house for naps. Christmas night, we have established a tradition that is one of my favorites. Our familes come over to hang out, enjoy the kids, and eat. This year, Tony did a pot of beer cheese and vegetable soup. It was delicious.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
