Sunshine on my shoulders
We had our little bit of snow, and hopefully we're done for the winter (such that it was). In celebration of sunshine, warmer weather, and healthier kids, we got out the Easter decorations. Sophie and Aidan love this little music box that I received from my godmother when I was little.
Saturday morning was gorgeous - even the birds were feeling good. The kids begged me to take a picture of this one. It wasn't the least bit afraid.
After Sophie's dance class on Saturday, we headed to the Little League park. Aidan's team was having practice on the field, and he was pretty excited. It's the first time he's ever played on the real field versus the astroturf-y tee ball field.

While Aidan practiced, Sophie and I ate a picnic lunch (Aidan had to eat his in the car on the way).
Then, we spent a lot of time on the playground. The wind was cool but the sun was warm - a perfect almost spring day.

During our time outdoors, Andrew was working on his science project. He chose wild turkeys and told me that Papa was going to do it with him. Fine with me! Here's the finished project:

I think he did a great job! After a day playing outside, Sophie slept like a baby all night. In my bed, but still. She didn't get up until 9:30 this morning, despite both boys getting up and down all night because they didn't feel well.
I covered everything in the house with lysol and opened up some windows today. We've been vigilant with our antibiotics and I'm hoping we're on the track to being healthy again.
