Well, the backpacks are packed and we are ready. Can you guess which bag belongs to which child? Sophie doesn't actually start preschool until Thursday, but she's chomping at the bit as well. Last night was the "Back To School Bash" where the kids got to see their teachers and their classrooms. I think all three are going to have a great year.
My classroom is ready to go, so we took advantage of our last day of summer vacation together. This morning we headed to the zoo with my mom. The kids played in the water park for about 45 minutes, we had a picnic and checked out our favorite animals. Before we left, we rode the carousel and then left to get ice cream on the way home.
After one last afternoon nap and dinner, the boys headed to football practice and Sophie helped me make banana bread to take to the teachers tomorrow.
Everybody was in bed by 8:15 - let's hope things go as smoothly in the morning!
