Sophie at two weeks!

Sophie turned two weeks old today. It many ways, it seems like so much longer since we brought her home from the hospital. She's alert more often now, and the boys are getting a little more used to her. I had taken some really cute pictures of her today, but my camera is malfunctioning, so Tony tried out the camera on my new phone. It actually takes better pictures than my camera. I love that there's so much pink in the picture below that I blend in with the wall.
The weather today was gorgeous, helping to make the ice storm Sophie came home in just a distant memory. Mom and I went shopping for an outfit for Sophie and I to wear on Wednesday to the Mother Guerin awards in Indy. Sophie had a lot of fun on her first shopping spree (okay, she slept through the whole thing). We found her an adorable dress and pink shoes and a suit for me. Check the blog for pictures Wednesday!

It was so warm today that I was able to take the boys outside after I picked them up from the babysitter. It was nice enough that I could sit Sophie's carseat on the porch while we played. The boys blew bubbles for awhile, and then Aidan rode his tricycle around while Andrew and I tossed the football. We had to play out front because the backyard is still too muddy from the snow and the dog. It was so great to be out without coats!
Without the ice, I was finally able to get Sophie's picture with her welcome home sign. As we were heading home from shopping today, Sophie started crying for her next bottle. I had to laugh at myself - I vividly remember climbing over Mom's backseat to feed and comfort Andrew when he did the same thing at about the same age. Not so with the third child - she just had to scream until I stopped the car. Another difference is the amount of stuff I carry around. I think I took everything but the kitchen sink in my diaper bags with the boys. Now, a diaper bag is optional. A diaper, small pack of wipes and one bottle and we're good to go!
