Indianapolis Children's Museum

Spring Break has pretty much ended for another year. We wrapped up on Friday by continuing a tradition Tony and I started before we had kids - a trip to the Indy Children's Museum during Spring Break. A change this year was that we took our own lunch and ate in the picnic room. It was a great choice - we were in and out much quicker. I'm not sure how we would have managed to get everyone fed in the dining room without meltdowns. Each year that we go, the boys are more and more able to learn and enjoy their trip. Tony and I noticed this year that they were so much more independent. They wanted to go and explore on their own with the other kids while we stood at a distance with Sophie and observed. Much less effort on our part, but a little sad, too, for them to grow up! On the plus side, I was able to take a lot more pictures of the kiddos without constantly having to chase after them. Here are some of our favorites: In front of the water clock

In the race car

We had to come all the way to Indy to play with the train table?

The new comic strip adventure exhibit -check out Aidan drawing his own comic!

The other large exhibit is the LegoLand castle exhibit - tons of fun!

Here's Andrew with a T-Rex bone:

Sophie slept through most of her first trip to the museum, but at least she was awake enough for a picture:

This afternoon, we were invited to a birthday party. The boys had a great time with their friends, and this picture was too cute not to share! Even with the rain, the kids were able to run around the yard a little bit. Aidan was so excited that his t-ball coach and her sons were there.
(He didn't really understand when I told him they were related to the birthday boy.)

And finally, the next installment of our fruit experiment. I was able to find a starfruit at Kroger. Andrew's been waiting forever to try one. He liked it, but not enough to want more. Who would have thought that all the great things we planned for the week, and the highlight was a fruit?
