Superbowl Weekend

Friday wrapped up Catholic Schols Week, with the exception of our parish-wide Mass and open house on Sunday. I went out to Tumbleweed with a group of teachers to celebrate, and when I came home we watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" for family movie night. Saturday I wasn't feeling well, so we did absolutely nothing. Sunday, however, was a full day. We started off with the Catholic Schools Week Mass. I was playing the flute, the boys helped pass out song sheets, and Tony had to usher. Afterwards, we had open house at school. It was a huge success!

Of course, the main event of Sunday was the SuperBowl. We didn't really know Tony was going to have the day off until late in the week, and we never got around to inviting people over. So he threw together a pot of chili and we watched the game with the kiddos and Tony's mom and grandma. This is how I hope Sophie always handles boys:
Although the Colts ended up losing, we had the day off today anyway. The Archbishop declared it a day off for all Catholic schools in celebration and appreciation of the Colts, their service to Indy, and their good behavior examples. I used my off day to play catch-up. I took Sophie to have her one year pictures taken, we picked up my bridesmaid dress and had lunch. We're getting ready for another snow storm - this time we're looking at six inches overnight. Because of the forecast, we made sure to make it to TKD tonight. Testing is Saturday, and Andrew finally got all his stripes. He also got his jacket back with his patches and embroidery, so he was thrilled.

Here are a couple of pictures from our photo shoot today. They aren't all cropped well, but you can get the idea:
