So, this post is pretty much about a lost tooth. But it's a fairly involved story. Andrew took FOREVER to lose his first tooth. It didn't come out until this summer. He's been sitting on four more loose ones for a couple months now. Aidan, on the other hand, surprised us by getting a lose tooth just a few weeks into kindergarten. He's been working on it for a while now, hoping to get it out before one of Andrew's so they'd be tied.
Well, last night we had pictures scheduled for our church directory. We ate a quick dinner, which Sophie decided would look better on her face - hence a bath before getting dressed up.
Overall, we cleaned up pretty well.

But, as we were walking in to take our pictures, Aidan's tooth started bleeding profusely. We managed to take his picture without looking too much like Dracula, but just barely. He refused to pull it out because he wanted to lose it at school today.
Well, I had cafeteria duty today. His teacher and I looked up to see him crying hysterically. It sounded like he was saying "I bit my tooth" and his mouth was bleeding again. I knew what had happened before his teacher could figure out the problem. Here it is, in his own words:

Yup, he swallowed it. In fact, he claims he chewed it up and swallowed it. So much for keeping his first baby tooth. Both kindergarten teachers were kind enough to write notes to the tooth fairy about the event as evidence of Aidan's credibility. I guess we'll see what happens tonight!
Speaking of tonight, we had Hallofest at school. I didn't take many pictures, but I liked this one of Tony and Little Red.
Tomorrow is Andrew's big birthday party with his friends, so I'm sure I'll have more to post. We also got a cool piece of furniture to put in the kitchen so Tony can use my granite island as a bar in the family room. When I clean everything off, I'll share more pics of that, too.
