Happy Halloween!

This weekend was fall break for our school. Thursday, the teachers had to attend a conference in Indianapolis, but the rest of the weekend was free. Friday the kiddos and I ran some errands with my mom, including getting the boys fitted for tuxes for my sister-in-law's upcoming wedding. Unfortunately, the kids at school and at Sophie's sitter have been passing around a bug, and I caught it. I spent Friday night and all day Saturday in bed. Tony took the boys to a "Haunted Woods" on Satuday afternoon while Sophie and I napped. By Saturday evening, I thought I was feeling good enough to go to a Halloween party. I was wrong - we ended up leaving after an hour. But, we looked good for that hour!
Today, besides Halloween, also happened to be the boys' last football game. Whew! I managed to make it to church and the game and then went back to bed. Tony felt so bad for me that he actually went to the grocery store for me and made white chili for dinner. By dinner time, I was feeling good enough to eat the chili (cautiously). I also made a treat for the boys - "mummy hot dogs". Basically, pigs in a blanket wrapped differently. Since the all three kids are big hot dog fans, these were a big hit. They smelled great, but I didn't dare try one.

After dinner, we headed out to trick-or-treat. We have a great neighborhood and the weather started out beautifully.

Sophie and her friend
We were glad we started early because it got cold quickly. We were home within about an hour and I gave Sophie and Aidan baths. Andrew took a quick shower and helped Tony pass out candy. For the first time ever, we got rid of all the candy I bought. However, it was replaced three times over in the Halloween buckets. Anyone hungry?
