Extreme Makeover: Sophie's Room
When Sophie was born, we bought a brand new white crib and opted to set up my old day bed (which was also white) to use as a changing table. Not too long ago, she outgrew the toddler bed and we moved her into the daybed. However, we always knew that eventually we were going to put my canopy bed in her room. It was the bribe that got us through potty training. Every time she uses the potty, she still tells me "Now I can sleep in the princess bed!". So, for her third birthday, Mom and Dad dug my canopy out of their basement and brought it down. Sophie is SO excited! Here's a view of the "before":
And, the "after":
I picked out a princess bedding set that I found (of all places) online at Walmart. It's quilted and very pretty, but not "Disney". I figured maybe she won't outgrow it quite so quickly. It's gorgeous. Her room looks like a totally different place, and I thought I liked it before. Now I love it. Here she is, going to bed for the first time in her "princess bed":
Such a big girl!
