Sophie and I have a hairbow fetish. I love them, she loves them, and we were totally out of space to store them. I had most of them in a big basket, but then I couldn't see what our choices were in the morning. At one point I purchased a really cute hanger, but it was also out of space. I Googled "hairbow organizers" hoping to find one I could buy. The first site that popped up was a blog called
"How Does She". There were so many great ideas that I had trouble making up my mind. What finally settled it was my lack of crafting skills - I went with the easiest and fastest option that I figured I couldn't screw up.
So, here's what you need:

-16x20 art canvas (although I wish I'd gone bigger): Walmart, 2 for $10
-Ribbon: Walmart, $0.97 a roll
-Sponge paint thingies: $0.97 for a four pack
-Paint: $3.99 for the big bottle and $0.99 for the little at Hobby Lobby (truthfully, Walmart had cheap paint too, but not the shade of pink I wanted)
-Letters or whatever wooden decor you want across the top: $1.47 for two packs at Hobby Lobby (Walmart had wooden shapes but not letters)
-Craft glue: $3.99 at Hobby Lobby (also available at Walmart)
-Stapler: $5.97 at Walmart (I didn't have a stapler at home - long story)
So, my entire project cost me about $20 when all was said and done.
First, you need to paint your canvas and whatever decor you're using. I used two coats, although it's not necessary. Don't forget to do the edges.

Then, decide on your ribbon length and pattern, cut them and lay them out.

Then, you start stapling. Just fold those ribbons over and staple to the wood frame. Easy-peasy. Because I'm OCD, I used a ruler and started from the middle and ends to make sure it all lined up. I also stapled the all the tops before the bottoms to make sure they hung straight. It was really trial and error - the staples came out relatively easy when I messed up.
The sample I saw didn't have any ribbons hanging down, but we have TONS of bows, so I left every other ribbon long. I did go ahead and put a staple in the bottom to hold it taut, however.

Then, I used the craft glue to put her name across the top and let it dry overnight.

Voila! I actually did something crafty that looks good!

If I can do it, anyone can do it. Trust me.
