Back to the present, Sophie's feet are finally starting to grow. She's going to be a shoe girl, for sure. She was finally able to fit into some adorable pink sparkly shoes that I got at the consignment shop. She couldn't stop playing with them.

Aidan's birthday
I can't believe that Aidan is turning five tomorrow. Five is a defining age - no longer a baby or a toddler, but a kid. It's hard to imagine, because even though Aidan has talked like a little man since he first opened his mouth, he is so incredibly small for his age. He is a snuggler, and will always be my "baby", even though we have Sophie now. He's definitely a momma's boy. Here he is playing indoor soccer. It's his choice - he has a mind of his own and chose to play the only sport his brother hasn't tried.
After his soccer game, I took Sophie to get her nine month pictures made (a little late). I'll scan and post them after I pick them up next week. Then, we celebrated Aidan's birthday with the grandparents. We opted not to do big parties this year because of our trip to Disney last month. One of Aidan's gifts from us was the new Thomas the Train movie. He was thrilled!
Aidan wanted a soccer ball cake iced pink like his soccer ball. I did the best I could, but he didn't mind the mess ups. It tasted great, anyway!
Here's a couple of flashback pictures of Aidan. When he was less than three weeks old, he caught a virus. He spiked a fever of 106 in the middle of the night. Tony took him to Kosair while I stayed with Andrew. The poor baby had to have a spinal tap and was in the hospital for three days about a week before Christmas. It was not the best for a postpartum mom. Kosair was great to us, though. Other than the fact that we had gone three weeks with no pacifier, and the first thing they did was to dip one in sugar and stick it in his mouth for pain relief. He was addicted from then on. Here he is with his baby IV. Makes me sad just to remember!
Here he is, a few months later. I find it terribly ironic that Andrew was our preemie, and was underweight for so long that we had to stop solids and go back to formula. Now he's over the 100th percentile for height and weight. Then there's Aidan, who is a scrawny little bit of nothing. Look at what a chubby baby he was!

Back to the present, Sophie's feet are finally starting to grow. She's going to be a shoe girl, for sure. She was finally able to fit into some adorable pink sparkly shoes that I got at the consignment shop. She couldn't stop playing with them.
