Saturday we devoted all day to the Magic Kingdom because it was open until 11 pm. It was slightly more crowded than Friday morning, but we still had very little wait time for rides, considering. Here's a great shot of Aidan watching for the train to come and open the park. He only had three chances to be on Daddy's head each day, so he had to choose wisely.

We really did a lot of research and planning prior to our trip. One of the great things Tony discovered was that you can get baby's first haircut in the Main Street Barbershop. Sophie didn't have a lot of hair, but I was determined that if she wasn't going to remember the trip, at least she would have a special "memory" of it. It was one of my favorite experiences of the entire trip. For just $14, Sophie got her first haircut, Disney-style. The barber was wonderful, and even managed to put in a little bitty ponytail. They added pixie dust, not only to Sophie but also the boys. Also included in the price was a pair of mouse ears that said, "First Haircut" and a certificate. Best value in the park!
The barber was very well-seasoned. The first thing she did was cover Sophie in stickers, which kept her busy long after we left the barbershop.

Here are my favorite three kids sporting their fairy dusted heads:

After the haircut, we headed to Tomorrowland and hit every ride there. We also got to meet Buzz Lightyear, who was a huge hit with Andrew and Aidan.

We covered part Fantasyland before lunch and then pretty well finished it out after. The only things we missed there was Snow White's ride and the carousel. Here's Sophie at Small World:

The boys adored the teacups - and so did Mommy and Daddy! Of course we had to have a pink one for Aidan.

The longest line we waited in all day was for Dumbo. We couldn't skip such an iconic ride, though!

Again, notice Aidan and Grandma are in the PINK Dumbo.

After Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown (where Aidan loved the Barnstormer roller coaster), we headed to the Crystal Palace for our first character meal. Boy, was this one eventful. The characters were Pooh and friends, and it was Aidan's choice.

We let each boy choose a character meal to celebrate their birthdays. Andrew's had been less than a week earlier, and Aidan is coming up this month. It would figure that Aidan would be celebrating his birthday on this particular night - it's a birthday celebration he (and I) will NEVER forget. Here he is, smiling, as we sing to him.

Mere moments after consuming his cupcake, he was throwing up (practically in my lap). We are not really sure what went wrong. At any rate, his shirt was a nasty mess, so I stripped him down and left him wearing a napkin while I went to wash out his shirt.

While I was in the bathroom scrubbing and Aidan was modeling the couture linens, the manager came by. He asked both Aidan and Andrew's shirt sizes and brought both of them pirate shirts from the gift shop. A little much-appreciated Disney magic.
After dinner, Aidan seemed to be feeling pretty much himself again, so we finished up a couple of the milder rides we'd missed. We started with my favorite, the Haunted Mansion. Then we picked up the Winnie the Pooh ride and played in the 100 Acre Wood playground while we waited on the fireworks.

As soon as the fireworks ended, we found ourselves a spot on the curb and parked it for the parade. Here are the two boys messing around while they waited for "SpectroMagic". All three of the kids were mesmerized. (Notice Aidan is sporting his new shirt).

After the parade, we got the kiddos their mouse ears and hung around Main Street while they were embroidered. Although we did not get to eat at Tony's Resturant, I couldn't resist a picture of my Tony and Goofy.

Brand new ears! I chose pink princess ears for her since she got a traditional pair during her haircut. Sophie had gotten a second (or perhaps third or fourth) wind by this point.

Aidan, on the other hand, was all out of energy. It had been a long day, and he had gotten sick to boot. Poor kid!

When we finally got back to the hotel, Sophie had yet another revival. She stole Andrew's new hat and my cell phone and was quite proud of herself.

Amazingly enough, we managed to completely cover Disney World in a day and a half. We hit every single thing we wanted to see and many things we would have been fine skipping. I think we might have skipped three or four attractions total in the whole park. Unbelievable!!! When we left the park that night, it was a little sad knowing that it was the end of the time in the Magic Kingdom. We had plans to cover the last two parks on Sunday. Stay tuned!
