Santa Breakfast

Today was the 2nd annual Providence Alumni Association Santa Breakfast. It's a great event, with breakfast and crafts for the kids. It's free, except for donations to the St. Elizabeth Home. The best part, in my mind, is a great Santa with a professional photographer at way cheaper than mall prices. Here's Sophie all dressed up and ready to go:
The boys had a great time making crafts and eating breakfast. Erin, Matt and Hunter met us there, and we ran into all kinds of other alumni we hadn't seen for awhile.
The highlight, of course, was the visit with Santa. Aidan asked for a monorail (check) and Andrew wants a DS and a real drum set. He'd better keep thinking on both counts.
We did not get a picture with Sophie smiling, but at least she wasn't crying!

This evening, we went to Mass at the St. Anthony hospital chapel celebrated by Fr. Paul. Then we went to Wick's for pizza. All in all, we've had a great Thanksgiving weekend - lots of good food, family, and reconnecting with friends. And two new things to be thankful for - our good friends Shevawn, Tom and Jackson welcomed baby Luke to their family, and my best friend Shannon got engaged. Hooray!
