I have been promising the boys a trip to the zoo all week. This morning, we headed off with three special guests - my mom and her two sisters. Aunt Connie, who lives in Georgia and is in for the week, hadn't been to the zoo in a long time. Here's my biggest monkey up close and personal with the gorillas.
Sophie stayed in the stroller patiently for most of the visit, but by the end she was ready to run. She's a huge animal lover and gets very excited. Here, she's checking out the warthogs.
Here we are outside the gate. Amazingly, everyone is looking in the same general direction and in a pleasant mood!
I am constantly amazed by Sophie's ability to imagine, pretend, and communicate. She loves lining up her princess dolls and playing with them.
In this picture, she's stealing Aidan's snack while she thinks he's watching tv. He said he didn't mind, but she really thought she was pulling one over on him.
This evening, we went to the River City Winery for dinner with Mom and Dad, Aunt Connie and Aunt Linda and Uncle Steve. Sophie is sporting the absolutely precious dress Aunt Linda made for her.
