200th Post

I can't believe that this my 200th blog post! I started, thanks to my friend Meredith, when I returned from HGS the summer I was pregnant with Sophie. Now, two years later, here we are! I would have come up with something creative for such a milestone, but Mother Nature intervened.

All I've heard all year is how everyone in Andrew's class had lost a tooth besides him and one other student. When we went to the dentist about a month ago, our hygenist pointed out that Andrew actually had very loose tooth that he hadn't even noticed. He's been wiggling ever since. Today, when he was supposed to be napping, that tooth finally was yanked out.

We've got the tooth fairy pillow all hung and stuffed with the tooth. In looking at the empty space, the adult tooth is almost all the way grown in. Unfortunately, Andrew has inherited my mouth and from the looks of the new tooth, orthodontia may be in his future.

On a happy note, the weather has been gorgeous - a great break from the heat last week. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow the high is right around 80 with minimal humidity. Tony had the day off, so we spent part of the afternoon at the pool (yes, I made him go to the pool on his day off). Then we came home and grilled out. Tony did pork chops on the grill, while I did fresh cabbage, and zucchini and squash. All homegrown - yeah for gardens and summertime! After eating, we did actually have to weed said garden, and the kids had a blast running around the yard. After being chased inside by the heat advisories earlier, this weather is truly a blessing. We're headed to the zoo tomorrow!
