So, last Sunday was "Scout Sunday" as well as our first round of biddy ball basketball. During scout weekend, the cub scouts always sell Krispy Kremes as a fundraiser after Mass. The person previously in charge of this fundraiser has moved on to boy scouts, so Tony was named the new "donut king". He had to go to all the Masses and help with donut sales, so I was in charge of getting all of us out the door on time for Mass. I think I did a pretty good job - we look alright, even if I have no idea where all the stuff goes on Andrew!

Sophie was willing to say "cheese", but Aidan wouldn't cooperate. (Of course she's in red for St. Valentine!)

I had never attended a Scout Sunday Mass before, but it was very moving and I was so proud to be part of it! I couldn't take any pictures, because I was sitting down front with my Girl Scout troop. (Yes, in my spare time I'm a girl scout leader as well) The Mass was very impressive. There was a trumpet "call" at the beginning, and then all the scouts (boys and girls) processed in with their leaders following the flag corps. The boy scouts looked great in their uniforms (Tony included!). After Fr. Joe's homily, awards were given out.
After Mass was a banquet and ceremony for the boy scouts. Tony and Andrew stayed, but I couldn't because Aidan had his first ball game an hour later. We ran home, ate some lunch, and then came back to school. This tongue picture is typical Aidan attitude.

Aidan did surprisingly well! He actually wanted to play this year, and I think it helps that kindergaten plays separately from first grade so he didn't have to be on Andrew's team. He actually scored about 6 points, which was 6 more than Andrew. You'd better believe he told big brother about it!
I had trouble getting a good shot of Andrew because he's always in motion. Besides, his team didn't have uniforms in yet. I'll post more when things look more official.

The weather has finally warmed up. The kids have gotten to play outside at recess and after school. Today, Aidan was outside for all three kindergarten recesses, he played on the playground during my girl scout meeting, AND he came home and played outside until dinner. He laid down to watch tv and got very quiet. When I took Sophie to bed, I checked on him and found this:

One sleepy boy with his sister's snuggie!
