Parade Day

Saturday was parade day for Clarksville Little League.  But, first a couple of odds and ends pictures I never shared.  Sophie's dance recital is quickly approaching.  This week we had pictures.  I think she looks so grown up!

Aidan picked one of my favorite zoo animals for his science project - the snow leopard.  He made it out of that foamy clay stuff that crayola makes.  It turned out really cute - he's quite the artist.  Notice, he had to add a snowman right by the leopard's tail because, of course, it's cold in Siberia and I'm sure there are many people who live there building snowmen.

Anyway, Saturday was parade day.  Lucky for us, the weather this year was perfect.  The kids, especially Sophie, were so excited!  Aidan's team went with the obvious theme and made a teepee.
Andrew's team didn't do very much decorating (okay, they didn't do any).
Sophie's tee ball team got to ride in an old truck.  I was afraid she'd wimp out, but she rode all by herself the entire parade route (and it was long - a good hour)

After we dropped the kids and Tony off, Mom and I went to a corner near the ball park to watch for them.  We left Tony just in case Sophie refused to ride at the last minute.  He ended up catching a ride on Andrew's float.  (He's wearing red amidst the orange and waving to us)

Can you pick out Sophie with the cowboy hat?
All three kids had games.  Aidan got a cupcake after he played his.  I love the remnants of his "war paint" in this picture.
For Mother's Day, Aidan and Tony brought me coffee in bed which I enjoyed while snuggling Sophie and listening to the rain.  Then we headed to church.  After Mass, we all went to eat at a buffet - my favorite way to spend the morning - no cooking and no cleaning.  We went home and napped.  I'm finishing off the evening with a book and a drink.  Happy Mother's Day!
