Tony had to teach class this morning, so after I finished at the pancake breakfast Mom, Karen, and I took the boys to "Touch A Truck". "Touch A Truck" is a cool event that the Clarksville Parks Department puts on during an annual yard sale. Basically, any organization that has a vehicle brings it to the town hall and opens it up for kids to climb in and on. It's a huge hit with my kids.
This is the bubble man's truck:
Of course even though my kids can touch fire trucks whenever they want, that was still where they migrated to for the longest period of time. Andrew beamed whenever any of the Clarksville fire fighters called him by name and asked him where his Daddy was.
Could Aidan have a future in construction?
Andrew, Aidan, and their friend were hot and sweaty and ready for a break!
This evening, Tony is acting as stage manager and "voice" of the Harvest Homecoming Pageant. I would have loved to have gone to watch, but it sure is nice to have the boys in bed and a few hours of quiet. I have three brand new magazines, a book, snacks, and a movies to keep me company. The only possible thing that could improve the evening would be a bottle of wine, but I'll have to make do with the "real" cokes I bought. (My one vice during pregnancy, and I can justify it by saying I'm avoiding the aspartame in the diet ones!)
