State Fair Time!

Yesterday, we headed off to the Kentucky State Fair. It was kind of a whirlwind trip, since we didn't get there until after 5:30 and were gone by 8:30. I think the boys saw enough to satisfy them for another year, though. After we ran the boys through the flea market type stuff, we met my sister Lynne and her fiance to eat and see the rest of the fair.

My favorite part is always seeing the award winning cakes. Tony found a great one this year, baked to look like a cooler full of beer. We had eaten so much dinner in the Kroger tent that I didn't have room for my other favorite fair activity - eating! Of course, the boys wanted to see the animals. Aidan wouldn't get near them because they smelled bad, but he did like the piglets. Here's Andrew "mooing" for the camera. (Really - that's why he has a funny expression)

Although we skip the midway for lots of reasons (Aidan and I can't do rides - he's too short and they frown on the pregnant woman on all the good rides) we still stopped and did a picture at the fountain as we headed back to the car.
