Random July Activities

We've had some busy days lately, and some lazy days, too. As we draw closer to the end of the summer, I thought I'd just share some recent pictures and activities. Last Friday evening, we headed to the zoo. They have special extended hours during summer evenings. The boys wanted to play at the water park, and since it was a little cooler than usual, they pretty much had the park to themselves. I wasn't particularly interested in getting wet, so Sophie and I just watched.
It was cooler this week, so on Saturday I was able to put Sophie in a couple outfits with sleeves that she's about to outgrow. Here are the boys being hams with their little sis:
On Sunday after naps, we decided to take the boys back to Incredible Dave's. We had been promising for awhile, but hadn't made it over there. The boys had a super time, and Sophie didn't mind watching them too much. She's more than ready to get up and move, though, and I don't think it'll be long before she's chasing after them.

Today, the boys and I just hung around the house. Andrew was doing such a great job helping me with Sophie that I had to take their picture.

And finally, here's some proof of what happens when you are the third child in a family. Sophie has fallen asleep in some odd places, but these two win the prize.

This weekend, Sophie was crying while I was downstairs doing laundry. She was tired, but hates to give up and take naps. By the time I got back upstairs, this is what I found:
Sophie is teething, and everything goes in her mouth. I noticed that she got remarkably quiet while I was in the kitchen and I found her sleeping with her toy still in her mouth. Of course, being the good mother that I am, I grabbed the camera first and then removed the toy.
