Baseball season is finally at an end in Clarksville. This past weekend and this week have been a huge "farewell" celebration. On Saturday, Aidan played his last game of the season. In keeping with tradition, here is his picture in front of the Little League Park sign.

Andrew's team played Saturday, and again yesterday started the tournament games. Since they were in 2nd place, they only had to play one game, which they won. The championship game is tomorrow evening, so hopefully I'll be posting some victorious pictures soon! I'll also post some pictures of the boys with their trophies after they get them.
After a very busy Saturday, we had a rather calm Sunday. In fact, Sophie looked so cute in her Sunday sundress that I had to take a few pictures. She could be a model!

After our photo shoot, we headed into her bedroom to change clothes before our next baseball outing. While I was rooting in the closet, Sophie spotted a renegade pacifier under her crib and took off after it. She couldn't figure out how to get back out. Of course, like any good mother, I left her stuck and went for the camera. I thought that this expedition might confirm her career as a model, but she finally showed some brains and figured out how to get herself out of her predicament. Maybe she'll be an engineer.
After Sophie's spelunking expedition, we headed across the river to Slugger Field and the Louisville River Bats game. The National Junior Honor Society goes every year, and usually a group of us teachers and our families go as well. We enjoyed the evening with our friends and the kiddos' friends as well. It was kids' night at the park, so we got to meet Diego.

The kids played on the playground and rode the carousel (which Sophie hated).

At the end of the game, the kids got to run the bases. Tony even took Sophie down. She had no interest in actually running the bases - she just wanted to stand on them.

We had a wonderful weekend full of baseball. It's been a busy week with the tournament games, as well as Andrew's daycamp at the Falls of the Ohio. I'll be taking lots of pictures of upcoming events, so check back soon!
