The Wedding - Part 2

I'm way behind on our blogging, but trying to get caught up quickly before Thanksgiving! Last weekend (the 20th) was wedding #2 this month for our family. My cousin April got married on Saturday, and the rehearsal dinner was Friday night at Captain's Quarters on the river. Of course, the kiddos had been sick all week but we seemed to have recovered by Friday. We came home, changed clothes, grabbed Tony and headed off. The outfit I planned on Sophie wearing didn't fit, so she wore her "wedding" garb for the rehearsal. She looked so grown up!

Love this of Tony and I - too bad it's blurry!
The rehearsal was very nice - great food and nice to see family and friends. First thing Saturday morning, I had to run to the store to get dog food (I hadn't been to the grocery in two weeks). I lucked into a gorgeous purple dress for Sophie at Walmart, since she wore her expensive outfit the night before! Saturday morning, Tony left early for St. Mary's since he was singing. I was quite proud of myself for getting three kids (and me!) wedding ready and there early (since I was a lector as well). However, when I pulled Sophie out of the car, she had a leaky diaper. Grrr. Tony changed her, I washed her dress out in the sink, and we threw her tights away. She spent the wedding sockless in a damp dress, but it worked. The wedding was beautiful, and I know April and Jon are going to be very happy together! On our way to the reception, we dropped by the house and got poor Sophie a new pair of tights.

The reception was a sit down dinner, and was very nice. Dinner was yummy, the wine was great, and we spent time with friends and family we hadn't seen in a long time. Our three kids were VERY well behaved for a change - we stayed until almost the end of the reception. They loved dancing with their cousins. It was such a super evening!

I just would like one picture with Tony's eyes open!

All the Courtney ladies - three sisters and three cousins. Aren't we beautiful - my grandparents would be proud!

Congratulations, April and Jon!
